What is there about my Hometown?
My name is Mason Thompson. I am from Nancy, Kentucky, which is just outside of Somerset in Pulaski County. It’s a small, quiet place, and it’s where I grew up.
How I Ended Up at UC
I am a transfer student from the University of Kentucky and a current senior here at UC. I ended up coming to UC because I had friends here, and the overall cost of college at UK was becoming too much. UC was a better fit for me financially and personally, overall honestly.
My Relationship with the Internet
My relationship with the internet is pretty important in my daily life. I work in IT, so I use the internet every day to complete essential work functions like sending emails and troubleshooting systems. It’s important to me for general use as well, but it isn’t everything to me as a human being.
I think the internet is an essential part of modern life, even if it might be a little too important to society as a whole. It is what it is at this point. AI also plays a major role in the modern day, especially with how connected everything is.
